Adorable Dog Steals Soccer Ball During Game And Refuses To Give It Back

The actual players never stood a chance.

This week, smack-dab in the middle of a youth soccer match in Turkey, a furry new challenger decided to join in on the fun. That adorable interrupter, a small white dog, then proceeded to seize possession of the ball — deftly dribbling it around the pitch like a real pro.

Even after the referee managed to get the ball back, the little pup was able to steal it again.

Here’s footage of the canine hijinks that ensued:

After much effort on the part of the players, whose own soccer skills had been sufficiently overshadowed, the ball was returned and order was restored. All good things must come to an end, after all.

But hey! Here’s a snippet of the same scene taken from another angle, including sounds of laughter from the dog’s new admirers:

The skillful dog, it seems, had initially gone to merely watch the game; he had reportedly escaped from his owner in the stands and was last seen being put back on a leash.

His special talent, at least, was now no longer a hidden one.

Good on you, soccer pup.

Dog Won’t Stop Staring At His Best Friend Who’s Been Away For Months

“It was the longest we had spent apart,” Haworth told The Dodo. “I looked forward to seeing him more than words can describe.”

Haworth clearly wasn’t the only one whose heart had been yearning.

Upon reuniting with Haworth, Percy was simply ecstatic. And though he couldn’t put his feelings into words per se, he found a beautiful way of showing what was in his heart.

While out on their traditional morning stroll together, Haworth noticed Percy doing something quite unusual. Rather than explore the sights and smells on their path like he normally does, the dog seemed insistent on fixing his gaze to just one thing as they walked — his best friend’s face.

Percy, it seems, could simply not believe his eyes that Haworth was truly on the other end of the leash.

So I’ve come back home from uni and today I took my dog on our first walk together since being back and he won’t stop looking up at me like this

“He was looking at me the whole time,” Haworth said. “I’ve never seen him do that before.”

Haworth, of course, will sadly have to say goodbye to her dog once again when she goes back to school. But now there’s no doubt that the bonds of love between them aren’t weakened by the time spent apart — and they’re both looking forward to the day they’re reunited for good.
