A graphic video showing a boy viciously throwing and punching a puppy has gone viral and led to the arrests of two teenagers.
The shocking 32-second clip was posted Tuesday on a Facebook page associated with Coates Keshawn, of St Louis, Missouri.
The video begins with a teen grabbing a light-brown pit bull puppy under his front paws and hurling the animal over his head.

A 32-second video showing the horrific abuse of a pit bull puppy was posted Tueday on the Facebook page of a St Louis, Missouri, resident named Coates Keshawn
Another boy, who presumably shot the video, could be heard laughing in the background as his friend slams the pooch to the ground.
He picks up the pet and flips him over his head a second time before pinning the pit bull down and repeatedly punching him.
The horrifying video ends with the smiling teen again grabbing the listless puppy under his front paws, with his hind legs dangling in the air, and carrying him towards the house.
Investigators with the St Louis Police Department told the station KTVI they are looking into the allegations of abuse.
MailOnline attempted to contact the law enforcement agency Thursday night, but no one was immediately available for comment.
Both the teen seen assaulting the puppy and the boy behind the camera have been arrested
Heartless: The teenage boy repeatedly punched the listless pooch and dragged him around, drawing peals of laughter from his friend filming the abuse
The video has quickly gone viral before Keshawn’s Facebook page was disabled Thursday.
Before the account was shut down, the clip was shared over 4,400 times. Some viewers left angry comments demanding to know why the innocent dog was subjected to such cruelty.
Online user Hezakya Madison, who is not believed to be connected in any way to the incident, shared the footage on his Facebook page Thursday in the hopes that the teens responsible for the abuse will be brought to justice, as he told MailOnline over the phone.
Healing process: The puppy seen in the video has been seized by animal control and will be treated by a veterinarian
Police said the pup in the video has been seized by animal control. He will be evaluated by a veterinarian and treated for any injuries.
Meanwhile, KSDK reported that the two minors have been referred to the Family Court to face animal abuse charges.
The elderly man was getting ready to leave the Agdao Market when it started to rain. A bystander captured the sweet moment the man took a bag and wrapped it like a cape around the body of the dog. Then he proceeded to tuck the bag in all around his pet.
The dog patiently sat in a basket attached to the front of the man’s bike. As if the cape was not enough, the man retrieved a small hat from the rear basket of the bike. He placed it on the dog’s head and attached the strap to his bike.
Now that the dog was covered and no longer getting wet, he put his gloves on and got on his bike. With a push of the leg, they were off.

CCTV shows the dog’s owner Daniel Cheslin and his girlfriend following the vicious attack, Birmingham Crown Court was told.
There is also footage of the dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Rudy, being kicked and slapped, reports Birmingham Live.
Last July, a CCTV operator alerted the RSPCA to the attack in the lift in a block of flat in Solihull.
The footage was taken at Bedford House, Sanda Croft, Smiths Wood , where homeless Cheslin was staying with his girlfriend, Jade Bellingham.
There were three clips from the lift CCTV.
The first showed Cheslin and Bellingham going into the lift and the defendant kicking and slapping the dog, before punching it on the back.
Further footage from July 9 show the couple in the lift with another man.
“Cheslin then pulls the dog so that he seems to lift off from the floor,” said Sarah Pratt, prosecuting at Birmingham Crown Court.
“He hits the back of the lift with such force it causes the CCTV camera to shake,”
Other clips show the defendant pushing hard down on Rudy’s hind quarters and repeatedly tapping its nose.
Cheslin, 22, was also captured punching Rudy on the top of his head.
Miss Pratt said when Rudy was later examined a veterinary surgeon found it had lost two of its front teeth, which was consistent with what happened in the lift.
The animal also had an injury to its head and a blood-shot eye likely to have been caused by a strike or a punch.
The court heard that Cheslin had also carried out acts of cruelty to a Bull Mastiff puppy called John, that he and his girlfriend had been looking.
A couple living in the block had heard the dog “yelp” when the two of them argued. They had also seen Cheslin pick the puppy up by the skin of its neck before dropping it on the ground and then rubbing its face in urine.
Cheslin would also make the Bull Mastiff sit on a chair and not allow it to move and had punched the dog in the ribs.
Cheslin previously pleaded guilty two charges of animal cruelty, was jailed for 12 months and banned from keeping any animal for 15 years.
Bellingham had earlier been handed a 12 month community order after admitting failing to intervene to stop Cheslin injuring the Bull Mastiff puppy.
In passing sentence Judge Jonathan Gosling said: “This dog was gratuitously ill treated by the defendant. He accepted assaulting it on numerous occasions.
“Rudy was a passive and even tempered dog and despite that the defendant was wantonly cruel.”
Ian Gold, for, Cheslin, said: “He has a number of personal problems not the least of which are depression and anxiety as well as anger management.”
