Stray Dog Saves A Dying Woman After Car Crash, Drags Her Over 100 Ft To Get Help

A woman named Shannon Lorio was driving on a rural road late one night, when she lost control of her car. The speeding vehicle left Shannon fishtailing, and she was thrown out of the back windshield.

Shannon landed on an embankment nearby. She could feel the bleeding inside her head, and knew that there was no one on the empty roads who could help her. That’s when she felt the presence of a huge animal breathing down her face. A stray German Shepherd had come out of nowhere to be her guardian angel!

Shannon was losing consciousness by the second, but she could feel she was being pulled and tugged out of the woods and into the streets, more than 100 feet away. Soon, a passing car found Shannon, and took her to ER for the necessary help.

When Shannon woke up, her hero was gone. She knew that she would not have survived if it wasn’t for the selfless act of the dog. When she recovered, she helped track the dog, and get him to the Humane Society.

The dog was aptly named Hero, and he has found a forever home with a search and rescue trainer, Heidy Drawdy. He now works as a certified search and rescue dog, something that he is naturally good at!

Loyal Blue Heeler Protected Toddler for 16 Hours in Remote Countryside

Police and over 100 volunteers scoured the mountainous area overnight after the 3-year-old girl was reported missing.

“He never left her sight. She smelled of dog, she slept with the dog.”

Aurora, the missing girl, was found over a mile away from home at the top of a mountain. Her grandma, Leisa Bennett, was the lucky rescuer who heard Aurora call in response to her shout. At the same time, Max the dog ran downhill to lead Leisa to Aurora’s side. Good dog!

Max is no spring chicken, either! The 17-year-old cattle dog is mostly blind and deaf, which makes his loyalty and care all the more precious.
