Imagine spending the first nine years of your life in a puppy mill and living inside in a wire kennel. This is what Freddie the senior Chihuahua endured until the kind people at National Mill Dog Rescue got involved. This little dog was not only rescued, but he was given the opportunity to try out his very first dog bed. Would he like it? How would he react? Rescuer, Theresa Spader, was about to find out.
Despite everything this little dog has been through, his spirit remained intact and he willingly accepted kind words and snuggles from Theresa. She is seen cuddling and hugging Freddie and even giving him a few well-deserved kisses. Her next step is to introduce Freddie to his new bed.
She gently places him in the soft bed and Freddie isn’t sure what to do. He moves around a bit, buries his little snout into it, and sure enough, he nestles into the perfect spot.
Looking at Freddie’s adorable reaction, it’s obvious he is smitten with his new doggy bed. According to the video update, Freddie also found his forever home where he will receive love, care, and all the comforts he’s been missing up until now. Watch this grateful dog’s reaction in this heartwarming video:
After Ellie had settled herself in her safe space, she finally pays her full attention to the howls. She tilts her head like a detective, as she realizes that while the sounds seem a bit off, they are still so familiar to hear.
Ellie’s curiosity gets the better of her, as she tries to mimic the howls with all her strength! She even leans back her head naturally, and we are reminded of the classic image of a wolf howling on a full moon night. Ellie definitely has the heart of a wolf in that tiny, fluffy body!
The cuteness in this video is simply off the charts. We are amazed at how Ellie went from being scared at the call of the wild, to embracing her instincts to join in the howling parade. Ellie’s motto might as well be – If you can’t beat them, join them!
