Joanna Gaines Finds Purple Sharpie Drawing On Sink Only To Realize Message Child Wrote

Even though they’re faithful to Jesus Christ and raise their children to believe the same thing, it’s hard to tell if their little ones truly understand God’s power.

But Chip and Joanna’s worries were put to rest when they spotted a drawing from one of their little girls, Emmie. Their daughter’s adorable illustration showed the love in her heart for Him and how children see faith…

It all started when Joanna wandered into Emmie’s bathroom and immediately spotted scribbling on the counter. At first, the reality star thought her daughter made permanent damage – but then she realized the medium with which her daughter wrote and the heartwarming message scribbled on the counter.

After taking a moment to soak in her daughter’s sweet relationship with God, Joanna ran for her camera. She posted a picture of her daughter’s drawing, writing:

“Walked into Emmie’s bathroom this morning and my heart stopped for a second when I thought she had Sharpied all over her vanity.

And then I took a moment and really read what she wrote and thought, ‘Well that isn’t the worst thing to be permanent.’”

“Then I touched it and realized it was erasable. I stared at her question and loved the thought of it and that that’s how she talks to God. May her faith always stay childlike and may I remember what she seems to already know.

That God is the most relational and the most kind, and always near.”
This was the message Emmie scribbled on the counter:

“Hi God. What are you doing?”
That simple note was the perfect reminder that He’s always with them. God watches over their little ones and now they’re building their own special relationships with Him. That’s all Chip and Joanna could ever ask for!

Joanna’s post went viral before she knew it. Within minutes, people of faith from all around the world were praising Emmie’s connection and the couple for instilling a love of God in their children. We need more parents like these two in the world today!

Listen to Joanna speak about the importance of her faith below. What a smart momma bear!
