Starving Puppy Was Dumped On Road In Chair And Too Afraid To Leave It To Find Food

A woman was in Brookhaven, Mississippi, when she witnessed something awful. A truck dumped a recliner and television on the side of the road, and in the seat of the recliner was a little puppy who looked terrified and starving.

She immediately went over to the puppy and called Animal Control for help.

Sharon Norton, the Brookhaven animal control officer who arrived at the scene, snapped photos of the puppy and posted them on Facebook.

“To the person that dumped this chair, your puppy was waiting for you to come back, slowly starving to death because it was afraid to leave the chair to find food,” she wrote in the caption. “Shame on you for doing this to this puppy.. but one day Karma will meet up with you.”

The puppy was taken to the shelter where he was fed, groomed, and vetted. He will soon be available for adoption and is relieved to get a second chance at life.

If anyone has any information on the person who dumped this poor pup on Gaston Trail in Brookhaven, Mississippi, please contact Brookhaven Animal Control or the local police department.

A man had finally settled into his new town, but something still felt missing from his life. He thought getting a companion in the form of a shelter dog might help. So he did just that. He went to the shelter where a black Lab named Reggie needed a home. But they didn’t hit it off right away.

The man gave it two weeks (the amount of time the shelter said it may take for the dog to adjust to his new home), but it just wasn’t working out. Maybe it was the fact he was also trying to adjust to a new situation. Maybe they were too much alike. But then the man started going through Reggie’s stuff, and that’s when he was reminded of a letter the previous owner had left with the dog. That’s what would end up changing their lives dramatically.

What an amazingly beautiful story. It’s all going to work out for Tank and his new owner.
